What’s in a name?
To me, in the case of Broadview...everything.
I’m Blake. I run the place, and if you’ll indulge me I’d like to tell you a bit about how I got here.
Prior to starting Broadview Communications, I spent a decade in corporate communications and content marketing for large corporations, tech startups, and nationally recognized nonprofit organizations.
Prior to that, I was an Iowa farm kid, helping my father and grandfather with chores. It was messy, smelly, difficult, and wonderful.
I loved the farm. I loved the farmers more. I grew up with the privilege of looking up to men who worked hard. I watched them innovate (Farmers are America’s original life hackers). I also watched them work their asses off and do things the hard way, because sometimes that’s THE way.
I became a writer and content strategist because I love telling stories, but to this day I credit any success I've had to the lessons I learned on our family farm - Broadview Acres.
Now, I have my own Broadview, and our mission is simple - to help small businesses, like the one that shaped me, flourish.
My commitment to our clients is to work as hard as humanly possible because that makes this farm kid feel like he's earned a seat at the table with his heroes.
That's our story. Thank you for listening.
